It’s a bird, it’s a plane no! It’s the desirable 2021 Kia K5 midsize sedan that has people talking and asking questions! Should I buy the Kia K5? Is it really worth it? Are the exterior and interior really luxurious? YES! YES! And YES! The vehicle brings excitement and is affordable to potential buyers. We all love reasonably priced nice things right? It stays in its own lane and shines with its unique style.

Definitely will give the K5 five stars, highly impressive and highly recommended. Go ahead and check it out for yourself.

Kia K5 Engine

This sedan provides comfort, offers a smooth ride, and is pretty good on fuel. This Kia is equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder base engine that produces up to 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque! The turbo-four provides a good amount of power for everyday use. Yes, it’s true we all like good-looking vehicles, but what makes it look even better? The engine. How it operates, how smoothly the vehicle runs and one of my favorites is when you have the car running, it doesn’t sound like it’s on. I am not sure about anyone else but that excites me!! The sedan makes driving fun with its turbocharged engines and enhanced wide-track suspension.

Kia K5 Available Trims

The 2021 model comes in five trims and the exterior is slightly different but still serves the same. The trims offered are LX, LXS, GT-Line, EX, and GT. Let’s talk about a few of them! The LX front grille is hyper silver, has outside mirrors that are power-adjustable and heated. It has solar control glass reducing interior heat build-up to keep the driver and passengers comfortable. The sound-absorbing front windshield feature helps create a quiet environment while riding around.

LED Headlights

The vehicle has multi-reflector LED Headlights, auto light control and Amber LED daylight running lights. The partial LED headlights offer a crisp and focused illumination for the driver. The auto light control is super cool and very convenient. It can adjust itself depending on the level of outside light. No need to take your hands off the wheel when your vehicle will do the work for you. The Amber LED running lights are the different styles that we love and embrace.

As LED headlights are becoming a new thing, brands of vehicles are gravitating toward them. However, K5 knows how to put their own spin to it to separate themselves from the rest. This trim also has a locking fuel-filler door. So you mean to tell me I can protect my tank? Correct! You can protect the tank and no you don't have to pick through keys. There’s an electric lock and release remote.

LXS Trim

The LXS is slightly the same but has its own distinctive style. The trim comes with cool illuminated door handles and a smart trunk. The smart trunk does most of the work for you which is the wow factor. All you have to do is stand behind the vehicle with your smart key and the trunk opens automatically for you. I love the saying “Less is More”! In this case, it speaks truth and volume.

GT Trim

The GT-Line body styling is amazing! This model's front and rear feature is uniquely designed with gloss black accents and special wheels. This vehicle comes with a panoramic sunroof with a power sunshade. Just imagine a nice sunny day where you just want to leave the house and get a breath of fresh air. You can get in the car and open the sunroof that adds fresh air and light with ease. The GT has LED headlights, not like the LX and LXS; this model is equipped with full headlights to help improve driving visibility.

K5 Interior Features

Each trim has a unique touch on the outer appearance and has a nice touch on the inside. The 2021 Kia K5 LX has an 8.0- inch Touch-Screen, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, day/night rearview mirror, cloth seat trim, remote keyless entry. The LXS has the 8.0-inch Touch-Screen also, it comes with the S-iriusXM Satellite Radio, 6 speaker AM/FM/HD Radio Audio System, and the Steering-Wheel-Mounted audio. The GT-Line has the 8.0-inch Touch Screen and 10.25-inch Touch Screen, Navigation, smart key with remote start, Push-Button Start, and Immobilizer and the LED interior and map lighting.

Pros And Cons Of The Kia K5

There are many pros and cons of the Kia K5 which is a midsize sedan. Pros of the Kia K5 include a smooth ride, advanced entertainment options, a powerful powertrain and a stylish design. Find the Kia K5 for sale at Lawton Kia in Oklahoma. The Kia K5 is a practical and stylish addition to the midsize sedan market. With strong competition from the likes of the Honda Accord, the Nissan Altima, and the Toyota Camry, Kia’s K5 replacement to its predecessor, the Kia Optima, had to pull out all the stops. In this updated model, any concerns about style, driving comfort, and entertainment accessibility fade away. The combination of this car’s winning features makes the sedan a top choice for young professionals, to families, to well, just about anybody. While it’s important to consider the Kia K5’s strengths, it’s also good to know some of the drawbacks because it’s important to make an informed decision before any purchase. So what are the pros and cons of the Kia K5? What is a Kia K5? Before we jump into the pros and cons of the Kia K5, let's understand what the Kia K5 is. The Kia K5 is a midsize sedan that has seen many notable improvements over the Kia Optima. Particularly noticeable about this car right off the bat is its stylish exterior, making it ideal for the everyday driver who also wants to make a statement on the road. More than that though, the car boasts a smooth ride and improved handling, as well as a spacious interior. This makes the riding experience more comfortable than most competitors in its class. It’s this comfort, along with the sedan’s driving performance and its advanced technology, that makes this sedan an enjoyable ride for just about anybody. Pros of the Kia K5 We believe the pros of the Kia K5 are abundant. Noticed by various reviewers, the numerous pros of the Kia K5 help put it at the top of its class. Noted below are some pros of the car. Design The Kia K5 provides some stylish design features both inside and outside of the car. Looking more sporty than its previous model, the sedan’s exterior angles provide some aesthetic relief in a pretty average market. With a lower and wider build, this sedan also has details on its front that make this car ideal for young professionals or tech savvy drivers seeking a sportier profile. The interior doesn’t disappoint either. Lower trims are straightforward and sophisticated, with higher trims becoming more luxurious. Powertrain Kia did not just leave this car’s speed to guesswork. Instead, they equipped it with a 1.6-Liter four cylinder engine, paired with 8 speed automatic transmission. This allows the car smooth acceleration and good fuel efficiency. A perk for families, young professionals, or anybody else who might be on a budget. The car’s powertrain also allows for smooth and responsive shifts. A good feature for anyone looking for added safety. High Driving Quality What this car delivers in looks, it also delivers in driving quality. This car’s superior powertrain allows bumps to be resolved fairly easily without the rider feeling like they are off-roading. Additionally, despite its sporty feel, riders will not feel a significant amount of road feel. Nor will they hear a lot of noise when driving. Moreover, the GT trim will satisfy the needs of those looking for an even higher quality driving experience. Advanced Technology The Kia K5 has many great advanced safety features. Some of these include forward crash collision warning, lane keep assist, and blind spot collision warning. All features the consumer will love when they find themselves distracted by some passengers in the back of the car, or even if they’re feeling a little drowsy on a Monday morning. Some features unique to this model also include Driver Attention Warning, a feature that alerts the driver if he or she is not paying attention, and Navigation Based Smart Cruise Control, a feature that detects curbs and changes in speed limits. With its stellar crash test performance on other features, it has received top rankings from both the National Highway Traffic Safety administration as well as the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Drivers of any kind looking for a midsize sedan should consider this model carefully. Cons of the Kia K5 Although the pros of the Kia K5 are impressive, there are a couple cons of the Kia K5 that are important to note. Below we discuss a few. No Manual Transmission Unlike the Optima, this updated K5 model does not feature a manual gearbox. This may be fine for the majority of drivers, who tend to use automatic transmission, but may disappoint a few die-hards. Infotainment Screen While its standard infotainment screen is more than adequate, the quality does deteriorate slightly with the trim. The 10.25 inch infotainment system features a touchscreen, which doesn’t allow easy manipulation when driving. Moreover, these advanced trims don’t come with a wireless option. However the 10.25 inch does see a rise in quality in terms of performance and image resolution. No Hybrid Option Some will also be disappointed by this model’s lack of a hybrid option, a feature becoming increasingly important in today’s reality. However, we would like to think, as time goes on, Kia will growingly take that into consideration. Is a Kia K5 Worth It? So the ultimate question at hand is, is a Kia K5 worth it? We think that the pros of the Kia K5 outweigh the cons of the Kia K5. Therefore, we say yes, the Kia K5 is worth it! The Kia K5 is an outstanding catch and a great upgrade from the Kia Optima. The car’s powertrain is suitable for driving enthusiasts. This, along with the sedan’s quiet cabin, strong safety system, and the car’s high-driving quality, make the car a perfect match for young professionals, to families, to tech-savvy professionals. Beyond this, the midsize sedan driver no longer has to compromise on looks, allowing the driver to ride around in style. While the car does suffer from some less advanced infotainment options, a lack of manual transmission, and the absence of a hybrid model, we think that the car’s pros far outweigh its cons.
