Power studies are in depth surveys given to new car owners that helps auto makers gauge what is working and what isn't working for their models. Find the #3 top ranked Kia at Lawton Kia in Oklahoma. Kia once again proves to be one of the best auto manufacturers in the business (but we’re not surprised). Kia ranked in the top 10 of the J.D. Here at Lawton Kia, we are so proud to be a part of this achievement for Kia. Let’s take a closer look at how Kia achieved these statuses. The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study For starters, let’s explain what the J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey (IQS) is. The J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey is an annual survey that measures the satisfaction of new car owners. This year the survey was given to over 84,000 car buyers between the months of February and May. They base their satisfaction on the number of problems the cars experience within the first 90 days of ownership. This survey is a great predictor of the car’s long-time reliability. This survey helps car makers and suppliers understand what customers need and how well they are meeting those needs. J.D. Power gets feedback on every significant vehicle on the auto market. Car makers use the feedback from the survey to measure and compare the car’s competitive performance. The feedback then goes through an analysis by plant, model, brand, corporation, and vehicle segment.  All of these categories help give a full breakdown of the car and all of its pros and cons. The study inspects 223 problems and puts them in nine categories. The J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey categories are: Climate Driving assistance Driving experience, exterior Features/controls/displays (FCD) Infotainment Interior Powertrain Seats How Kia Ranked In The Top 10 Kia’s high ranking means that the quality of Kia’s cars consistently outranked hundreds of other vehicles on the market. However, this is not Kia’s first time in the top 10. For years, Kia has been at the top of the ranks for the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study. Additionally, Kia accepted a J.D. Power Dependability Award. This award is achievable by brands who have the fewest problems reported by 100 car owners during the last 12-months with their 3-year-old vehicle. The rating focuses on the amount of problems and the type of problems experienced with their car. Kia being awarded these accolades is truly a testament to how dedicated they are to producing high quality vehicles. These efforts are paying off, as they are being recognized for producing some of the best cars on the market. Kia Forte Ranked #3 for 2022 The Kia Forte is the #3 compact car for 2022 by J.D. Power. The car has a Verified Consumer Rating of 83 out of 100. This score takes into account quality/reliability, driving experience, resale value, and dealership experience. This ranking is based on hundreds of thousands of independent and unbiased opinions of verified car owners. There are multiple features of the car that drivers consistently praised. Some of the most notable ones include the vehicle’s ability to hold personal items exactly where you want them, the experience of using voice assistance in the vehicle, and the ease of getting in/out of the seats. Overall, the Kia Forte is branded as a dependable, high quality compact car. It’s A Major Award! In Fact- It’s FOUR of them!

Autobrand Kia has several vehicles that have won prestigious awards from CG Best Buy. The Kia models that were winners include the Kia Soul, Seltos, Rio, and Telluride. Find all the Kia winning models for sale at Lawton Kia in Oklahoma. Not one, two, and not three. But FOUR Kia vehicles have been named 2021 winners of the highest ranking award that Consumer Guide gives to automobiles. Out of over 150 tested, the Soul, Seltos, Rio, and Telluride all sit atop their respective categories. Consumer Guide awards these honors after taking into account safety, longevity, features, drivability, value, and more. And did I mention that Kia won FOUR OF THEM? Let’s look at the winners! KIA SOUL Subcompact Crossover The fun and funky Soul has now been named a CG Best Buy for SEVEN YEARS IN A ROW! Kia’s boxy yet whimsical 2021 Soul is a newly redesigned subcompact 4-door wagon that won this award for a compelling blend of personality and practicality. It features “impressive passenger room, flexible cargo space, and lots of upscale available features in a tidy, pleasant-to-drive package.” KIA SELTOS Subcompact Crossover Coming in between Kia’s subcompact SUV Soul and compact SUV Sportage in both size and price, Kia’s New-For-2021 Seltos has “more rear-seat and cargo space than most of its class rivals. Add in competitive pricing, distinctive styling, a broad range of desirable available features, and a fairly peppy available turbocharged powertrain, and the Seltos is one of the most compelling vehicles in its segment.” KIA RIO Subcompact Car The Rio was redesigned in 2018 with a larger platform that allows for several new available convenience and safety features. The Rio is built with a strong focus on fuel economy but still contains many more frills and details than you would expect from a car at this size and price point, including quite the entertaining driving experience. “The Kia Rio delivers better-than-expected comfort, quietness, driving enjoyment, and available features, all at bargain prices.” KIA TELLURIDE Midsize Crossover The Telluride, winning this award for the second consecutive year, is Kia’s “plus-sized” three-row midsize SUV, larger even than the three-row Sorento. This allows for “excellent passenger and cargo room, nicely balanced road manners, and an upscale look and feel inside and out.” The rugged, yet stately style looks like it belongs on a luxury vehicle, making its price point seem even more affordable than it already does. TOP OF CLASS FUEL ECONOMY Kia is known for its commitment to quality in the value that it offers, and that is underscored by the impressive fuel efficiency of each of these winners. Rio The EPA rates the Rio at 33 mpg city/41 mpg highway. Soul The Soul’s base 2.0-liter engine is rated at 25 mpg city/31 mpg highway with the 6-speed manual transmission and 28/33 or 29/35 with the CVT automatic. The turbo 1.6 engine is rated at 27/32. During Consumer Guide® evaluation, an X-Line returned 31.7 mpg and a Turbo averaged 30.4 mpg, both in tests that consisted of about 75 percent highway driving. Seltos The base 2.0-liter engine of the Seltos is rated at 29 mpg city/34 mpg highway with front-wheel drive and 27/31 with all-wheel drive. The turbo 1.6 engine, which comes solely with AWD, is rated at 25/30. During Consumer Guide® evaluation, an SX Turbo averaged 27.7 mpg in a test that consisted of 60 percent highway driving. Telluride The Telluride is EPA-rated at 20 mpg city/26 mpg highway with front-wheel drive and 19/24 with all-wheel drive. During Consumer Guide® evaluation, an all-wheel-drive SX model returned 22.9 mpg in a test that consisted of 70 percent highway driving. All models use regular grade gas. COME SEE US!
