Kia has announced it extended two of its most popular savings programs for both buyers nationally and for Kia buyers in Lawton. These incentives are a great way to save money on a new Kia.

First, Kia announced an updated version of its First Time Buyer Program. This program allows an individual to have excellent financing options when they make his or her first auto purchase. Kia has become known for it’s innovation in new cars and in other aspects of the automotive industry. The manufacturer’s innovation and quality is so great the used Kias are some of the best used cars on the market. Kia has now taken another step forward with the newest innovative creation, the 8 speed automatic front wheel transmission.

This new transmission was created by Kia engineers so that the front end of Kia cars are lighter and safer. Eight-gear transmissions have existed for rear-wheel drive vehicles for years, but this is the first one available for front-wheel drive vehicles. The reason it is such a feat is because there are many size constraints in a front-wheel drive vehicle, caused by the engine, the suspension and the auxiliary components under the hood. This eight-speed transmission allows for smoother transition from gear to gear, it weights much less than a typical six-gear transmission, and it is the same size as it’s smaller counterpart.

This new transmission debuted in the 2017 Kia Cadenza, one of Kia’s top-selling sedans.

Kia showcased the new 2018 Stinger at the North American International Auto Show, winning multiple design awards in the process.

To the delight of many Oklahoma drivers, Kia is branching away from its usual conservative designing and has developed a much sportier and aggressive creation in the 2018 Kia Stinger. Along with a more athletic exterior, it also includes an engine capable of producing some impressive power. It hosts a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, engine producing 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque.

The interior of the Kia Stinger tells a very different story. With a modern and sleek style, this new car includes a 7.0-inch touch screen infotainment system in its dash. As well as wireless device charging, plenty of legroom, a heads-up display and optional Harman/Kardon audio system. Its safety features will also include a Lane Assist System, Driver Attention Alert, Emergency Breaking, Forward Collision Assistance, and Blind Spot Detection. All of these features make us think it will be one of Kia’s best vehicles. It will be perfect for drivers all over Oklahoma, including Lawton.

The 2017 Kia Forte is now one of the few cars to achieve the IIHS’ Top Safety Pick+ award and that’s a big news, Oklahoma. 1. Know what to expect on price, features and abilities

You should look around online before your test drive, and know what the vehicle you’re about to drive. Knowing the features offered on that model will make you aware if anything is broken or missing. Also, knowing the price helps you not waste time on cars that are out of your budget when scheduling a test drive.

2. Schedule the test drive.

Don’t just show up to the dealership if you can help it. Having an appointment can be a major time saver because any good dealership, like Lawton Kia, will have everything prepared for your test drive when you walk in the door, as long as you scheduled in advance. Plus, this will give the dealership time to see if there are any comparable models in your price range that you should consider.

3. Bring a companion.

Having a test drive sidekick can really help when you are looking around. This person can be an extra set of eyes for any dings, dents or flaws on the vehicle. He or she can also take some of the pressure off of you when it comes to the small talk during the test drive, that way you can fully focus on what the car is trying to tell you.

4. Always make yourself at home in the vehicle.

This doesn’t mean carry around all of the random stuff that winds up in your car, but it does mean make the car comfortable. Get in, adjust the seat, mirrors and AC. Turn on the radio, see what the navigation panel is like, get a feel for the interior. It’s important that you don’t allow yourself to be rushed while checking out the vehicle.

5. Don’t listen to the radio while driving.

That’s why when you’re driving the car, listen for abnormalities in the sounds the car makes while you are accelerating, stopping and idling. 6. Check the tires, always.

Tires are often forgotten when a car is being taken for a test drive, but they shouldn’t be. Tires are a part of the car that can be negotiated. If they look bald, they are losing air, or look flat, bring that up to the dealership. They should take responsibility for the merchandise they are selling you.

7. Go to the right place.

Not all dealerships are created equal. Make sure you are going to a dealership that has not only an excellent selection of inventory, but also a top of the line sales staff, finance department and service center.
