The well-known auto brand, Kia, revealed the 2023 Kia EV6 GT performance crossover for the first time at a Motorsports Gathering, The Quail, and boy was it shocking–in a good way! Kia vehicles are not typically sought after for their speed, but the mere presence of the 2023 EV6 took the  center of attention with 576-hp, being the fastest and most sophisticated among all the players. The arrival of the 2023 Kia EV6 is becoming known as the most powerful Kia production yet. This marks a new era for the Kia electrification brand. Talk about having an element of surprise! Here at Lawton Kia, we are ecstatic about the 2023 Kia EV6, so let’s take a deeper look into this electrifying Kia, the overall design, levels of electrification, and more.

2023 Kia EV6 in a Nutshell

The 2023 Kia EV6 is part of Kia’s “Plan S” strategy. This strategy launches at least 2 battery-electric vehicles (BEV) per year. The “Plan S” strategy is also to build a full line-up of 14 BEV’s by 2027. The 2023 Kia EV6 showcases the multi-charging system that supports 400v and 800v charging, working on DC chargers with speeds between 50kW to 350kW. The innovative functionality makes the EV6 a power house on wheels, supporting everything from home improvement projects to camping and tailgating. Its electricity flows from the high-energy battery to an Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) which provides a whopping 1,900 watts of power to the electric appliances, devices, tools, and recreational equipment. Need we say more?

2023 Kia EV6 Design

The exterior of the 2023 Kia EV6 has subtle interior and exterior features that flourish. An emphasis on the vehicle’s width, and a rear aero spoiler is unique to this model. The styling and design of the 2023 EV6 is a worldwide collaboration. This collaboration was inspired by a design philosophy, “Opposites United”. This philosophy fuses cues and inspiration from contrasts that you can find in everyday life. A long-wheelbase and short overhangs is what maximizes the interior space with a flat floor. Under the floor, a battery placement enables a low center of gravity for ultimate stability. Premium EV6 touches are all throughout the cabin. This includes neon accents, front lightweight bucket seats, and a striped motif that’s on the upper dashboard and on the front center armrest. Ambient lighting is also featured across the door panels, center console, and dashboard which delivers a soothing glow.

New Levels of Electric Performance

The already potent EV6 lineup raises the threshold of performance even further with the 2023 EV6.  It has a dual-motor e-AWD powertrain that sends power to all four wheels. It also has an energy-dense 77.4-kWh Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese (80/10/10) battery that serves a front-mounted 160kW motor. It’s combined with a rear-mounted 270kW motor that produces a power output of 430 kW (576hp) and 546lb.-ft. of torque. The 2023 Kia EV6 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with top speeds rising to 161 mpg.

To put it more into perspective for you, the 2023 Kia EV6 out-accelerated a Ferrari Roma and Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder RWD. The performance upgrades also include defining dedicated sport suspension with electronically controlled dampers and unique front suspension components. Its traction and stability are enhanced by electronic Limited Slip Differential (e-LSD) when turning those corners. This is possible by directing torque to the wheels that have the most grip.

Our favorite compact car is getting the makeover of the year with its new and improved design, are ya ready?! Here at Lawton Kia, we are elated to announce the release of the new 2023 Kia Forte and we think you’ll be just as thrilled as we are about all of its exciting features. If you’re just now hearing about the 2023 Kia Forte, then keep reading to be in-the-know about what makes this Kia worth noticing.

The 2022 Kia Forte Legacy

The evolution of the Kia Forte design has taken flight in an unprecedented way just over the course of the last few years. Beginning in 2019, Kia introduced an entirely new design to the interior and exterior of its beloved Forte, giving it a more sleek look while simultaneously adding more cargo and back-row seating space. Furthermore, Kia also decided to upgrade the technology of the 2019 Kia Forte model cars with the addition of more driver-assistance features and a touch-screen infotainment system. Moving into 2020, Kia introduced the GT and GT-lined trims of their Forte, and the 2022 Kia Forte received an overhaul to the exterior once again while adding even more advanced tech.

2023 Kia Forte Trims

As for the 2023 Forte model cars, you can count on all of the features we love about the previous models, along with some major advances to the trim lineup. The Forte will come with five trim options, including the introduction of the GT Manual along with a change of name for the entry level FE, now known as the LX model. So, with these changes, you will now be able to choose from the LX, LXS, GT-Line, GT or GT Manual trims.

Kia Forte GT Mechanics

There will continue to be the same top of the line mechanics in the 2023 Forte models. All of the trims will come with front-wheel drive. However, the LX, LXS, and GT-Line trims, they will have a 147-horsepower four-cylinder engine with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The GT model will have a 201-horsepower turbo-four and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The GT Manual will have the same turbo-four paired with a six speed manual.

2023 Kia Forte Interior

The 2023 Kia Forte’s interior has been praised for its luxurious look and feel. You can expect to see some improvement in the quality of the interior across all trims. The LX will come with cloth upholstery and it will have an option to add auto-dimming rearview mirror and a universal garage door opener for a small additional charge. While the LXS will gain split-folding rear seating and soft-touch interior surfaces. As for the GT-Line, it will have sports seating accompanied by synthetic leather inserts and a leather steering wheel. The GT trim will have the option to add full synthetic upholstery. In the GT Manual you can find the same synthetic upholstery as well. Across all trims, you can expect a very spacious and high-quality cabin along with a large trunk. This compact car is undoubtedly big enough to fit the whole family!

Technology

The 2023 Kia Forte will have a highly advanced touch-screen infotainment system. The system stretches eight inches across in standard models, along with 10.25 inch available options. This infotainment offers both Apple Carplay and Android Auto with bluetooth connectivity, making it perfect for any driver’s needs. Other notable technology features include rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, pedestrian detection, highway driving assist, lane departure warning, among many others. Drivers will also love the remarkable fuel economy, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, push-button start, and sunroof.

It’s A Bang For Your Buck

Although there is some slight variation in the price of the 2023 Kia Forte depending on the trim level it is still affordable compared to competitors.  The base LX model is the most inexpensive model option with prices starting around $19,490,. While the most expensive model is the GT Manual, with prices starting from $24,890. Car enthusiasts would agree that this is a marginal price to pay for all of the features that the 2023 Kia Forte has to offer.

Kia cars have won awards in the 2022 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study once again proving the quality of Kia vehicles
  • Kia has achieved the prestigious status of top 10 quality auto manufacturers, coming in at #3 with the Forte.
  • J.D. Power studies are in depth surveys given to new car owners that helps auto makers gauge what is working and what isn’t working for their models.
  • Find the #3 top ranked Kia at Lawton Kia in Oklahoma.

Kia once again proves to be one of the best auto manufacturers in the business (but we’re not surprised). Kia ranked in the top 10 of the J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey and the Kia Forte is the #3 compact car by J.D. Power for 2022. Kia is fully committed to putting out the best cars possible, and their efforts are getting recognition. Here at Lawton Kia, we are so proud to be a part of this achievement for Kia. Let’s take a closer look at how Kia achieved these statuses.

The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study

For starters, let’s explain what the J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey (IQS) is. The J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey is an annual survey that measures the satisfaction of new car owners. This year the survey was given to over 84,000 car buyers between the months of February and May. They base their satisfaction on the number of problems the cars experience within the first 90 days of ownership. This survey is a great predictor of the car’s long-time reliability.

This survey helps car makers and suppliers understand what customers need and how well they are meeting those needs. J.D. Power gets feedback on every significant vehicle on the auto market. Car makers use the feedback from the survey to measure and compare the car’s competitive performance. The feedback then goes through an analysis by plant, model, brand, corporation, and vehicle segment.  All of these categories help give a full breakdown of the car and all of its pros and cons. The study inspects 223 problems and puts them in nine categories.

The J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey categories are:

  • Climate
  • Driving assistance
  • Driving experience, exterior
  • Features/controls/displays (FCD)
  • Infotainment
  • Interior
  • Powertrain
  • Seats

How Kia Ranked In The Top 10

Kia’s high ranking means that the quality of Kia’s cars consistently outranked hundreds of other vehicles on the market. However, this is not Kia’s first time in the top 10. For years, Kia has been at the top of the ranks for the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study. Additionally, Kia accepted a J.D. Power Dependability Award. This award is achievable by brands who have the fewest problems reported by 100 car owners during the last 12-months with their 3-year-old vehicle. The rating focuses on the amount of problems and the type of problems experienced with their car. Kia being awarded these accolades is truly a testament to how dedicated they are to producing high quality vehicles. These efforts are paying off, as they are being recognized for producing some of the best cars on the market.

Kia Forte Ranked #3 for 2022

The Kia Forte is the #3 compact car for 2022 by J.D. Power. The car has a Verified Consumer Rating of 83 out of 100. This score takes into account quality/reliability, driving experience, resale value, and dealership experience. This ranking is based on hundreds of thousands of independent and unbiased opinions of verified car owners. There are multiple features of the car that drivers consistently praised. Some of the most notable ones include the vehicle’s ability to hold personal items exactly where you want them, the experience of using voice assistance in the vehicle, and the ease of getting in/out of the [rear/second row] seats. Overall, the Kia Forte is branded as a dependable, high quality compact car.

Kia sold it’s 10 millionth vehicle in America & this is quite a feat for Kia as this shows how many people like this brand
  • The well known and loved auto brand Kia has been producing vehicles since the 1950s, most of their focus on motorcycles and the Fiat 132 and Peugeot 604.
  • Filing for bankruptcy in the 1990s, Kia partnered with auto brand Hyundai, switching their focus to the European market, then back on the U.S. market in the 2000s.
  • In celebration of Kia selling 10 million vehicles JUST in the U.S., $10,000 will be donated to non-profits including St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association, and Freedom Service Dogs of America.

Kia started selling their vehicles in the United States in 1992. Now, they have one of the greatest auto industry success stories. The South Korean company recently celebrated its sale of their 10 millionth vehicle in the United States. Kia’s accomplishments are the result of delivering world-class quality, design and technology in every SUV, sedan, and electric vehicle. The 10 millionth vehicle, a “Runway Red” all-electric EV6 purchased by Monti Charoenphong at Car Pros Kia Moreno Valley in Moreno Valley, California. This in itself underlines Kia’s commitment to sustainable mobility leadership going forward. Who isn’t going green?

Kia’s Origin Story

According to the company, the name “Kia” derives from the Sino-Korean characters 起 (ki, ‘to arise’) and 亞 (a, which stands for 亞細亞아세아, meaning ‘Asia’); it means “Rising from Asia.”

Kia was founded on June 9, 1944, as Kyungsung Precision Industry. Originally a manufacturer of steel tubing and bicycle parts, eventually producing Korea’s first domestic bicycle, the Samchully, in 1951. Soon in 1952, the company changed their name to the Kia Industries we know today. Kia had a rocky start due to military dictators’ consolidating the automotive industry. The focus being on motorcycles and passenger vehicles, then solely focusing on light trucks.

Before the Shutdown

Prior to the forced 1981 shutdown, Kia had rounded out its passenger car lineup with two other foreign models. Those models being the Fiat 132 and the Peugeot 604. The import of these knock-down kits were permitted as long as Kia exported five cars for every single Fiat/Peugeot brought in.

Starting in 1986, only 26 cars were manufactured. However, the next year, the production was over 95,000. Kia rejoined the automobile industry in partnership with Ford. Kia produced several Mazda-derived vehicles for both domestic sales in South Korea and for export into other countries  where they were positioned at the budget end of the market. In 1992, Kia Motors America goes to the United States. The first Kia-brand vehicles in the United States were available at four dealerships in Portland, Oregon, in 1992. Since then, Kia methodically expanded one region at a time. Dealers in 1994 sold the Sephia and a few years later the United States segment expanded their line with the Sportage.

Kia Goes Bankrupt

Kia declared bankruptcy in 1997 during the Asian financial crisis. Next, in 1998 they reached an agreement with Hyundai Motor Company to diversify by exchanging ownership between the two companies. Hyundai Motor Company acquired 51% of the company, outbidding Ford Motor Company. Since 2005, Kia has focused on the European market and has identified design as its “core future growth engine”. However, Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia in West Point opened in February 2010 after Kia recorded its 15th consecutive year of increased U.S. market share. In August 2014, the company received international attention. Pope Francis of the Catholic Church rode in one of their compact cars, the Kia Soul, during a five-day visit to South Korea. In 2016, Kia Motors model reliability came in first in the United States by J.D. Power and Associates, becoming the first non-luxury automaker since 1989 to top that list.

10 Millionth Vehicle?!?!

“Selling 10 million vehicles is a significant achievement and we at Kia are proud not only how far we’ve come, but also what the future has in store as we continue our push for sustainable mobility leadership,” said Sean Yoon, president & CEO of Kia North America and Kia America. “To thank our customers for their support, Kia wants to give back in meaningful ways by helping those in need. We hope the positive impact of these donations will resonate for years to come.”

As part of Kia’s “Accelerate The Good” charitable initiatives, Kia will commemorate the 10 millionth Kia sold milestone through multiple acts of giving. Including $10,000 donations to non-profit organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association, and Freedom Service Dogs of America.

“We are a ‘Kia Family’, but once we saw the EV6, there was no question this would be our next car,” new owner Monti Charoenphong. “The day we took delivery was already very exciting, but to learn that we were also Kia’s 10 millionth customer in the U.S. was unbelievable and confirmed our love of this company and to electrified driving.”

2023 Kia Soul

May 12, 2022
Blue 2023 Kia Soul In Lawton OK
  • The 2023 Kia Soul has received minor exterior and interior upgrades, keeping the iconic small, boxy appearance, with upgrades to the technological aspects.
  • A new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine enhances the performance, as well as other performance upgrades like front-wheel drive, and additional assistive safety features.
  • Find the 2023 Kia Soul for sale at Lawton Kia in Oklahoma.

What’s new with Kia? We’ll tell you what’s new–they unveiled details about the 2023 Kia Soul and we’re here to tell the scoop! The iconic Kia Soul has been available since the 2009-2010 era, and the newly announced 2023 Soul model is aimed towards a more simplistic model makeup of the original. There are promises for an exterior facelift, dropping the turbocharged engine option, and more. The 2023 Kia Soul release date is set to be at the end of Summer of 2022 starting off at what we’re guessing will be no more than the previous Turbo trim price that was just over $27,000. The actual price will be released along with other specific details closer to the vehicle’s on-sale date announcement. But for now, let’s talk about what we do know about this bold new 2023 Kia Soul model.

2023 Kia Soul Exterior

The overall new 2023 Kia Soul model will still maintain the definition of Kia’s small and fun car, but it is getting a facelift on all sides of the exterior including a sleek new grille, new daytime running lamps as well as new turn signals. The exterior rear upgrades include new taillights and new 17- and 18-inch wheel designs. Aside from the typical upgrades like the ones we just mentioned, Kia is setting themselves apart yet again by offering two new, bold, two-tone color options in the colors clear white and/or surf blue, both with a contrasting fusion black roof. We’re getting summer year-round, fruity, sleek, one-of-a-kind vibes. Every car might have shiny new lamps and turn signals, but we guarantee that none of them will have bolder colors than the Kia Soul 2023.

2023 Kia Soul Interior

The interior doesn’t have as many new updates, but Kia automakers did achieve the high demand for upgraded technology within vehicles of all brands. The interior will keep the much-loved and familiar features, like heated front seats, wireless phone charger, automatic headlights, etc. But there will also be some new updates to die for, specifically speaking about the technology aspect. There will be a new 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment screen which is available in all trims except the base LX model. There will also be a Harman Kardon sound system, a navigation based smart cruise control, ford collision avoidance, and more. The Kia Soul has been around for 10+ years yet they are still providing us with pleasant surprises.

Under The Hood

The Kia Soul is ditching the turbocharged engine and replacing it with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder. This engine generates 147 hp and 132 lb.-ft of torque. This might be a big disappointment to some of Kia’s loyal customers, but Kia will not let it go in vain. They have made sure to replace things that they are getting rid of with new and improved updates. S else that won’t be available is an all-wheel drive system. But, to make up for it, all 2023 Kia Soul models will be have front-wheel drive. Kia has raised the bar as far as safety features making it a standard for all trims. The safety features include high-beam assist, driver attention warning, lane departure warning, rear occupant alert, and forward collision-avoidance assist-pedestrian.

2022 New York International Auto Show Stage
  • The Kia Telluride that debuted in 2018, became the auto brand flagship, selling over 90,000 just in 2021, attended the 2022 New York International Auto Show.
  • There are four dive models available including the Sport, Eco, Smart, and Comfort, each containing different powertrains, drivetrains, and steering options.
  • The Kia Niro also made an appearance at the 2022 New York International Show, featuring an all-electric model, a plug-in hybrid model, and traditional hybrid variants.

NEW YORK- Out of all the companies that attended the 2022 New York International Auto Show (April 13-24), it’s hard to find one who tried to make a bigger splash than Kia. Their display included several automobiles from past lineups, the 2023 Sportage and even a futuristic concept SUV. Yet, there are two automobiles that Kia officials are focused on presenting to the public as they unveil the 2023 Telluride and the 2023 Niro. “These two products are what I hope customers come to the show to take a look at,” said Kia Chief Designer Tom Kearns.

2023 Telluride at the 2022 New York International Auto Show

For long-time Kia customers, the Telluride is a familiar name. From the moment the three-row eight-passenger SUV first hit the market three years ago, it became one of the company’s most popular vehicles. More than 93,000 units have been sold in 2021. With large passenger room, the Telluride arrives with two all-new trim levels for 2023: X-Line and X-Pro. They are specifically for owners who want a more rugged personality with features and capabilities that allow the Telluride to go almost anywhere off-road. Both all-wheel-drive models offer a roster of exclusive upgrades and enhancements over other Telluride trims X-Line model replaces the former Telluride Nightfall Edition.

2023 Telluride Design

When designing the 2023 Telluride, Kearns and his design crew didn’t want to make any drastic overhauls. “With the Telluride, we’re just tweaking what customers already love about it,” Kearns said. “We can’t keep these in stock. So we just tweaked a few things.” Those slight changes include upgrading the technology that was already part of the Telluride. Which includes a standard WiFi Hotspot and optional digital key supporting compatible iPhone, Apple Watch, and Samsung Galaxy smartphones. The X-Line’s key elements are a 0.4-inch-higher ride height, a new Tow mode, roof rails, a redesigned grille, and trim-specific 20-inch wheels. The X-Pro comes with a 110-volt outlet in the cargo area, swaps the 20-inch wheel for 18 inches with all-terrain tires, and has an increased tow rating of 5500 pounds.

Drive Models

Customers will have a choice of four drive modes – Smart, Eco, Sport and Comfort. Each uses different settings for powertrain, drivetrain, and steering effort mapping to provide the desired driving experience. Kearns was especially proud of the job his team did on the exterior design. “You notice the grille, the lighting and the wheels,” Kearns said. “We’ve got a couple of new packages with the X-Line and X-Pro. And the interior, the display. It’s just kind of a tweaked version of the telluride.” The redesigned Telluride is expected to go on sale near the end of the third quarter.

Kia Niro at the 2022 New York International Auto Show

On the other end of the spectrum for Kia is the Niro. The company is expanding its brand into the EV market with the Niro. While its variety of color schemes and design will undoubtedly be the first elements that customers notice about the Niro. That, or its street name, the Aero Blade. But Kia officials specifically point out the improving technology that is making their EVs even more efficient. “Kia’s electrified vehicle momentum continues with the launch of the all-new second-generation Niro. It offers more refinement, versatility, connectivity, and technology than ever,” said Kia America COO Steven Center. “The 2023 Niro is designed for today’s needs and for sustainable future mobility.”

Kia Niro Options

Whatever stage of going electric customers find themselves, the Niro has them covered. The new lineup includes all-electric, plug-in hybrid and traditional hybrid variants. The Niro EV expects to have a target range of 253 per charge. The Niro Hybrid is to achieve 53 mpg combined with an estimate driving range of 588 miles. According to Kearns, its design is a key reason why the Niro will function well on the roads. Air channels through an opening and then exits out the back via a similarly sized opening. The strakes on the door molding also help direct the air where Kia wants it to go through the Aero Blade.

“The Niro is pretty much all new. Especially from the exterior. It’s a two-tone feature that also serves to aid in aerodynamics,” Kearns said. “But it also just kind of gives it a cool look. It offers the ability to personalize it with different colors. Kearns knows how important the EV market is going to be for Kia now and going forward. He believes they have the lineup that can challenge any other company out there. “EVs will be huge,” Kearns said. “We’ve also got our dedicated EV, the EV6. For customers wanting to look at an all luxury vehicle, dedicated electric, solely, 100 percent, come check out the EV6.”

The Niro will go on sale this summer.

Robo Dog From Kia Super Bowl Commercial
  • For The 2022 Super Bowl Commercial, Kia EV6 Made Its Debut Alongside Robo Dog, putting the rapping hamsters to rest.
  • Kia is a proud supporter of the Petfinder Foundation, which is believed to be the inspiration behind the commercial, introducing the new lineup of all electric vehicles.
  • Find the new Kia EV6 for sale at Lawton Kia in Oklahoma.

The car commercials for the Super Bowl are always abundant, and above par. This year was no exception. From Hera and Zeus to Nick Jonas, to Dr. Evil from Austin Powers, car companies were really grasping for some kind of universal connection. By far, we think this year’s Super Bowl commercial from Kia was the best, being full of surprises including, the release of a brand-new model that holds the Guinness world record title for the shortest charging time to cross the US in an electric vehicle. Here at Lawton Kia, we are excited to add the all-electric EV6 to our list of Kia cars for sale as well as adding the new and adorable Robo Dog to our Lawton Kia family.

Three Reasons Why We Love The EV6 & Robo Dog Super Bowl Commercial

Here are 3 reasons why we can’t get enough of Kia’s Robo Dog or the new Kia EV6:

Kia EV6 + Robo Dog = Living Life Fully Charged

The Kia Super Bowl commercial is one that tells a heartwarming story about Robo Dog sitting in a shop with a $200 price tag on him. He is staring out the window longingly at a guy with his golden retriever (Subaru golden retriever shade if we ever saw some). The rest of the commercial is a view of Robo Dog going on this grand adventure yet seemingly wild goose chase, jumping across buildings, crashing through boxes, and running through traffic, just for his battery to die when he is about to meet his new owner.

(Spoiler alert) The next scene is one of Robo Dog opening his eyes and being embraced by his new owner with a Kia EV6, every dog’s dream. The commercial ends with Robo Dog hanging his head out the window with the final message being: Live Fully Charged. Thus, creating the perfect equation of Kia EV6 + Robo Dog = living life fully charged. How fitting and positive for the new year.

Out With The Old, In With The New

You might be surprised that Kia decided to create a new image by setting the rapping hamsters on the shelf and getting a new electronic puppy, named Robo Dog. This intentional choice of introducing Robo Dog was designed to introduce a whole new generation of Kia battery electric vehicles. Like the discontinuation of the rapping hamsters, it is also a way to signify the discontinuation of the Kia Soul EV. With a sleek and futuristic look, the Kia EV6 comes in 9 different exterior colors and 5 interior colors. That way, you and your pup can portray the exact image you want.

The new Kia EV6 has ultra-fast charging, can go 0 to 60 in 4.6 seconds, and can cover up to 300 miles in a single charge. So you can spend more time driving and less time charging. On the more luxurious side of things, the new Kia EV6 has:

  • heated and ventilated front seats
  • a smart power tailgate
  • a premium audio system
  • an onboard power generator
  • a powered sunroof
  • blind-spot and surround view monitors
  • remote smart park assist

Kia Is A Proud Sponsor Of The Petfinder Foundation

We imagine that the inspiration for this new commercial and the introduction of Robo Dog is much deeper. This new generation of all-electric Kia vehicles is one that brings light to a universal experience. This experience being bonding with a cute and cuddly dog while encouraging the support of animal shelters and rescue groups. Kia is a proud sponsor of the Petfinder Foundation which helps shelters and rescue teams save animals.

Kia Carnival 2022 In Blue
  • The 2022 Kia Carnival is a minivan that acts as a multipurpose vehicle, with SUV features, 7 passenger seating, and the advanced technological features.
  • As far as performance, the 2022 Carnival has an old-school powertrain with a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V-6 engine, and a handful of additional features.
  • The price of a 2022 Kia Carnival ranges from $32,000 to $47,000 and is for sale at Lawton Kia in Oklahoma.

Both innovative and versatile, the Kia Carnival 2022 makes its debut. As a multipurpose vehicle, this Kia Van is perfect for the adventurous, the practical, and for those who want a vehicle full of useful features.

About The Kia Carnival 2022

Just one look at the Kia Carnival proves that it is not your average, everyday minivan. Sold as a MPV (multipurpose vehicle), the Kia Van strays away from the basic minivan look held by the previous Sedona. Instead, this vehicle looks a bit SUV-like with styling cues such as a longer hood and C-pillar trim. The boxy shape of the vehicle, along with its sliding doors, 7 seats (8 available with lower specs) and its priority for practicality are the only elements which label the 2022 Kia Carnival as a minivan.

The interior of the Kia Minivan includes three rows of seating, available for either SynTex or genuine leather seat trim in a range of different colors. The second row can be removed for cargo space. Along with the third row seats which can sink in the floor. For a more comfortable road trip experience, the middle seat in the second row can slide forward for passenger seat access, or fold into a table for second and third row use. Finally, the second row seats offer a one-touch relaxation mode complete with a full recline, raised power footrests, comfy headrests, and heating and ventilation.

The Abilities

The Kia Carnival 2022 houses a relatively old-school powertrain. It’s complete with a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V-6 driving the front wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. As well as the acceleration of 290 horsepower. The Kia Van performed a 60 mph run of 7.3 seconds, stopped from 70 mph in 186 feet, and completed 0.79 g around the skidpad. This vehicle boasts its capabilities by undergoing hardcore testing: enduring Earth’s most extreme temperatures  (from the Alaskan tundra to Death Valley desert), being frozen to -40°F and then driven to the limit of performance at 130°F, or toughing out excessive and severe conditions (extreme radiation, magnified heat, and a corrosive saltwater bath). The Kia Carnival proves that it is a sturdy vehicle, able to carry the weight and push through harsh conditions.

Technology On The Kia Carnival 2022

This Kia Van boasts great technological features. With an available 12.3 inch display, you can enjoy standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. You can also integrate your choice of apps. Along with the front display, the car offers dual screens in the second row with wireless capabilities and device mirroring. Additionally, up to nine USB ports are available through all three seat rows and a front wireless Qi™-compatible charger.

The Kia Carnival is making great strides towards providing the safest driving experience through some of its standard features. Features like Forward Collision Avoidance, Blind Spot Assistance, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance, and more.

Other options are available for a more connected, safe and easy driving experience.

Available Features Include:

  • Auto Emergency Braking Technology
  • Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control
  • Highway Driving Assist
  • 19-inch Wheels
  • Smart Power Tailgate
  • Navigation System with 12.3-Inch Display
  • Live Rear Passenger View through Center Display
  • Wireless Phone Charger
